labor supplies and equipment necessary to perfom the operations of
receiving, containarizing, clerking, checking, loading and unloading of
trucks and containers, documenting, transferring, wharehousing,
segregating, marking, labeling, processing, blocking, bracing, lashing,
securing to vehicles, and safeguarding from loss or damage, cargo to be
imported and exported by the Panama Canal Commission, an agency of the
U.S. Federal Government. These services will be required as of March
1, 1997 through February 28, 1998, with an option to extend for an
additional period, from March 1, 1998, through December 31, 1998.
Services shall be rendered in facilities located within 20 miles of the
New Orleans metro area. The facility shall afford secured covered space
to warehouse cargo that requires protection from the elements, secure
open space, and 300 square feet of air conditioned, heated office space
for Panama Canal Commission employees. Estimated Quantity: 20 foot
containers-30 each, 40 foot containers-240 each, flatbeds-100 each,
vehicles-100 each. A preproposal conference will take place in the New
Orleans Panama Canal Commission Office, November 4, 1996. Confirmation
of attendance is required prior to October 28, 1996. When requesting
