PROCUREMENT NOTICE - NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION - REPLACE WELL #18B. The
Contractor will be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment
and supervision required to demolish existing Well #18B and install,
drill and develop a new 1,005 foot deep Well #18C. Contractor will
provide a well pump and motor, piping, fittings, valves, electrical
services and all other related appurtenances. Contractor will also
provide an on-site chlorine generation system, sun shade and perform
other incidental related work as required. Notice to all contractors
about Job Walks/Site visits aboard the Naval Air Weapons Station, China
Lake, CA. Job walk/site visits are conducted on Tuesdays at 0800 hours.
Before the job walk/site visit you must notify the Resident Officer in
Charge of Construction by phone (619) 939-4412 of your intention to
attend the site visit. Additionally you must comply with the following
requirement and obtain an OFFICIAL VISITORS BADGE. Anyone arriving
late or without the proper badging will not be permitted to participate
in the job walk/site visit, and will be required to reschedule their
visit until the next available Tuesday. There will be no exceptions to
these requirements. To obtain an Official Visitors Badge you must FAX
the following information to the Naval Air Weapons Station Badging
Office (619) 939-3996. The information must be provided on/or before
the Friday preceding the Tuesday of the site visit. A picture ID is
required at the time of badging. Information required is as follows:
Name; Solicitation Number (N62474-96-B-6361); SSN: Drivers Lic # and
State of Drivers Lic #; U.S. Citizen status or Alien Card #; Vehicle
Information of Make, Model, Year, Color, License Plate Number and State
of register; Date of Visit and Area of Visit (N). Performance is at the
Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, California. Performance time is
180 days. Potential bidders should request IFB N62474-96-B-6361 in
writing not later than (15) calendar days after publication in the CBD.
The requests should be addressed to: Officer in Charge of Construction,
Building 00978, Code 82322OD, Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake,
California 93555-6001. Tentative issue date on or about 04 November
1996 with opening date approximately 30 days later. The SIC Code is
1781. The related small business size standard is $7.0 million. (Firm
fixed price contract.) The estimated cost range is between $250,000.00
and $500,000.00. Please note that the Naval Air Weapons Station will
only accept written requests for bid documents. Potential bidders
should request IFB N62474-96-B-6361 in writing not later than (15)
calendar days after publication of the cost of the solicitation in the
