Denise Riggi This synopsis is published pursuant to the requirements of Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 5.2 -- The U.S. Department of Energy, Morgantown Energy Technology Center, plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) No. DE-RP21-96MC33157 for services to design and manage a stakeholder involvement/public participation program for the Decontamination and Decommissioning Focus Area (DDFA). The offeror shall be capable of establishing working relationships with DDFA personnel, interfacing with the Interstate Technical and Regulatory Cooperation (ITRC) Working Group, surveying existing tribal and stakeholder resources, developing tribal and stakeholder interaction plans, assembling and executing workshops, developing a stakeholder involvement newsletter and central information source, and establishing training activities for Technical Project Officers (TPOs) and public stakeholders. The intended acquisition is a 100% set aside for small business concerns. The solicitation will be available on or about October 28, 1996. The exact date and time for the submission of proposals will be indicated in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.metc.doe.gov/business/solicita.html.
