Specialist, 606-253-8892. The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to
award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified individual or
business capable of providing dietician services to the inmate
population housed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester,
KY. Services include but are not limited to: providing nutritional
education and counseling to those inmates having special dietary
requirements, evaluating and monitoring the Food Service System, making
recommendations to the Food Service Manager to assure a nutritionally
adequate quality of food is being served, review diets for nutritional,
caloric, fat and cholesterol content and match those amounts against
universally acceptable standards, making recommendations for
substitutions when those standards are exceeded. Contractor will
provide diet and nutrition to those inmates with chronic and acute
illnesses such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity and weight loss.
Requirements include: a minimum of one year experience in the field of
Dietetics/Nutrition and must be able to verify related eperience, must
possess a Masters Degree in Dietetics and/or Nutrition and have a
current license to operate in the state of Kentucky. This is a
nonpersonal service contract and not a personnel appointment. The
contractor will not work more than 30 hours per week. The estimated
sessions per month are two four hour sessions or four two hour
sessions, to be mutually determined between the Health Services
Administrator and the contractor. The anticipated issue date of
solicitations is October 21, 1996, with an anticipated receipt of
offers due by November 19, 1996. Requests for proposal solicitation
