Provide all necessary services and materials to replace light fixtures, switches, and receptacles; replace windows and blinds, heat/air conditioning units, and thermostats in dormitory rooms; repair laundry room ventilation; replace hot and cold water plumbing; replace ceiling tile as necessary; replace store front glass, main entrance, vestibule and exit doors; replace floor covering throughout and treads on all stairwells; repair all shower floor tile and regrout; install heat detectors in the closets, hallways and kitchen, and connect to the base fire alarm system; replace signage, mailboxes, casework; in the mechanical room install electric heater or evaporator, pipe purge discharge to outside, and install pressure relief valve in vent pipe for evaporator and condenser; and paint interior. Asbestos encountered will be removed under this project. The facility condition code 1 remains unchanged with this project. All work will provide a complete and usable facility. Cost of project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance time is 300 calendar days. Requests may be made by letter or FAX (817/676-7652). Telephone requests WILL NOT be considered. Estimated mailing date of soliciation: 31 Oct 96. Bid opening is scheduled for 2 Dec 96. Acquisition shall be for full and open competition.
