The Contractor shall provide one (1) Catholouminescence Imaging System for the non-destructive optical and structural characterization of ceramics and semiconductor materials and devices. The transmission range for the system shall cover the wavelength range from at least 3000 angstroms to 1.8 micrometers and allow for both imaging and spectral analyses in that range. The optics shall have a collection efficiency of at least 70 percent for the emitted photons. The optics shall also be fully retractable and not interfere with normal scanning electron microscope functions including EDX and WDX analysis functions. The transfer efficiency of the optics shall be sufficiently high to allow imaging and spectral analyses of low yield materials like CdTe and CdZnTe. The Contractor shall deliver, assemble, install, and make the system fully operational at the Army Research Laboratory, Adelphi, MD. The period of performance is eight (8) months.
