Contract Specialist 619-725-1937. The Government intends to procure the
following under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures; Messing Support
at Los Alamitos Reserve Training Center for the period 01 December
1996 through 13 December 1996. Number of personnel; 350. Meals will be
for breakfast and dinner everyday with the following exceptions:
(Dinner meal for only 01 December and breakfast meal for only 13
December). Requirements are as follows: Minimum Breakfast Requirements;
3 100% natural fruit juices; 1 unsweetened citrus. Choice of fresh or
canned fruit. Choice of at least two ready-to-eat cereals, including
one unsweetened ready to eat cereal and one hot cereal (rolled
oats/farina). Scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs. Pancakes, waffles or
french toast w/ syrup. At least two breakfast meats. Whole grain bread
or rolls or muffins. Bread spreads such as butter, jams, jellies,
preserves and peanut butter. Low fat milk and coffee w/condiments, hot
cocoa. Minimum Dinner Requirements; Two types of Main Entrees.
Potatoes and or/potato substitute (the exceptions are meals that
already contain pasta, rice or potatoes). Two types of cooked
vegetables. Tossed salad (two or more salad dressings to include one
low fat dressing). Whole grain bread, rolls or muffins. Bread spreads;
butter, jams, jellies, preserves and peanut butter. Two or more types
of desserts. Lowfat milk, soft drinks, and coffee w/ condiments.
Additional requirements: Vendor will transport food w/serving utensils
to and from vendor to dining facility. Vendor will provide all
necessary condiments (sugar, creamer, ice, etc.). Vendor will provide
all necessary serving utensils, chafing units, containers, plastic
plates, forks, knives, spoons. Vendor to provide supervisory personnel
who will supervise set-up, servings and take-down. USMC will provide
(5) messmen who will assist in set-up, serving,take-down and clean-up.
Request for Quotation will be available 30 October 1996. This is a
Small Business, Small Purchase Set-Aside. The anticipated award date is
on or about 29 November 1996. All responsible sources may submit a
Quotation, if received in a timely manner, shall be considered by the
