76 -- GENERATION AND PRODUCT FINISHING OF 1:50,000 SCALE TOPOGRAPHIC LINE MAPS DUE 111596 POC Contact Ken Popkin, Contracting Officer, 301-227-1904, FAX 301-227-4793 The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) is seeking parties who have an interest in responding to a future Request for Proposal (RFP) for the generation and product finishing of approximately 700, 1:50,000 scale, topographic line maps. The work will involve compilation from 9x9 stereo pairs and/or national source by manual methods and product finishing in hard copy format. The contractor shall provide all services, materials, supplies, facilities, labor and supervision necessary to complete and deliver to NIMA the required deliverables using product specifications and source furnished by NIMA. A portion (approximately 15%) of this project will involve source material at the secret classification level. NIMA is seeking contractors who can produce ONE or MORE of the following functions: provide Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) grids and projections on the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS 84); rectify 9x9 source and/or national source; provide ortho rectification of 9x9 and/or national source; produce Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED) Level 2 from 9x9 and/or national source; provide manual compilation; provide color separated final reproduction film negatives; produce Thai Script, produce digital files from hard copy negatives (specify format capabilities). Both cleared and uncleared responsible sources (US firms in the US, NOFORN only) are invited to submit a brief statement regarding their firm's capabilities and capacities.
