Sources are sought for technical expertise of a non-personal nature to provide Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) of data systems at Vandenberg AFB in support of missile and space launch operations. Major tasks include system requirements analysis, computer program configuration, item requirements analysis, interface analysis, design analysis, testing for function performance limit and man-machine interfacing, participation in review and audit, development acquisition or modification of special computer programs. Potential Offerors must meet the following criteria: not to be involved in the design or development of Western Range missile systems and software; recent experience in the IV&V of real time and critical computer software systems; and experience with Range Safety or equivalent systems. A Facility Clearance of SECRET is required. Basic qualifications in the field of computer science, physical science and engineering; mathematics and analysis and system management are required with specific experience in software programming, algorithm analysis, and software applications. The contemplated contract will be for one year (FY 98), with five priced options for FYs 99, 00, 01, 02 and 03. Solicitation, proposals and award will occur during FY 97.
