The Tahoe National Forest anticipates advertising contracts during the winter months when weather may preclude viewing the project areas. Mastication projects include approximately 1000 acres on the Sierraville Ranger District, 190 acres on the Nevada City Ranger District, and 449 acres of grapple piling site preparation and spreading of slash on the Sierraville Ranger District.
