A -- MILITARY, WATER PURIFICATION EQUIP POC POC: Jean Paul Marcoux (810) 574-6793 Military water purification equipment. the United state S Tank-Automotive and armaments command (TACOM) is Curr ently planning the acquisition of a 1,500 gallons per H our reverse osmosis water purification unit (rowpu). a draft purchase description for the rowpu is available F or industry comment. the 1500 GPH rowpu will be used to purify a Broad range of water sources (fresh, sea and N uclear, biological and CHEMICAL-CONTAMINATED) to meet W AR and peacetime water support requirements. the govern Ment envisions releasing a competitive request for prop osal utilizing a performance specification. this will R esult in up to two, three (3) year contracts to provide a quantity of three (3) engineering, manufacturing and development (EMD) prototype units for test and evaluati on. the resulting contracts will include associated wor K effort required to support contractor testing, govern Ment production qualification testing (pqt) and Early U ser testing (eut) and validation. competition during th E follow-on production phase will be limited to those O fferors that developed prototypes during the EMD phase.
