Jet Propulsion Laboratory/California Institute of Technology
(JPL/CIT), operating under a prime contract with the National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), is soliciting proposals
for new members to supplement the presently established New Millennium
Program (NMP) Integrated Product Development Teams (IPDTs). NMP is a
space flight validation program aimed at validating key technology
breakthroughs that will reduce the cost while enhancing the performance
of the 21st Century space science missions. The IPDT areas of focus
include: (a) Autonomy; (b) Communications Systems; (c) In-Situ
Instruments and MEMS; (d) Instrument Technologies and Architectures;
(e) Modular and Multifunctional Systems and (f) Microelectronics
Systems. New members will be selected based on an evaluation of the
technologies they propose for the program, and on their ability to
provide these technologies they propose for the program, and on their
ability to provide these technologies for NMP flight validation. A four
(4) week response period will be provided for the submittal of
technology proposals. Only industry, academia and nonprofit
organization are to respond hereto. A separate solicitation for
government laboratories and agencies will be issued. Both solicitations
will be available on October 21, 1996 on the NMP Website at
``http://nmp.jpl.nasa.gov/.'' Specific instructions for this
solicitation are also available via E-mail request at
