Disassemble, pack and move an NEC Accelerator System Model 5SDH-2 S/N 005, one (1) each from Wilmington, DE and unpack and reassemble (install) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The anticipated award dated is 961230. FOB Destination. The contract period of performance is four (4) months. Performance under this contract must commence around March 1997 and be completed no later than May 1997. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government does not own specifications to permit full and open competition; however, it is restricted to approved source, National Electrostatics Corporation (NEC), the manufacturer of the accelerator system, located in Middleton, WI. Market research has demonstrated that NEC is the only vendor capable of meeting the Government's need. Firms that recognize and can provide the required service are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer, and provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be made within 15 days of this publication. All responsible sources may submit a bid or proposal which will be considered by the Agency. No telephone requests will be honored.
