The Air Force intends to acquire, on a competitive basis, Total contractor Training for the KC-10A to include all aspects of aircrew training, including a guaranteed student; courseware development and maintenance and curriculum updates, aircrew instruction, logistics support and maintenance of four KC-10A simulators, two cockpit procedure trainers, two boom operator trainers and two cargo load trainers at McGuire AFB NJ and Travis AFB CA. This requirement will also include operation, engineering support, logistic support and maintenance of a Training System Support Center, configuration management, data management, logistics management. This requirement will be subject to the Service Contract Act. Contract Period: It is anticipated the Basic Year FY99 will beginning 01 October 1998 Through 30 September 1999 With a total of four one year options beginning 01 October 1999 Through 30 September 2003 The approximate RFP issue date is anticipated to be February 1997. A synopsis will be published prior to issuance of any resulting solicitation A preliminary or a final data package for recompetition purposes for each device is not currently available. Currently identifed future hardware modification(s), to be included in the competitive RFP, will be the requirement for the integration of the VUE visual on three KC-10 devices.
