The work consists of dredging the navigation channel in designated areas located between Navigation Miles 0 and 444.8 on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System; between Navigation Miles 10 and 20 on the White River, and in harbors at Rosedale and Greenville, Mississippi, on the Mississippi River. Dredge material is to be placed in designated areas. The work involves dredging between 400 and 800 stations. A station of dredging is equivalent to 100 feet of advance by the dredge in a cut that averages 150 feet in width at the base of the cut and averages 3 feet of depth. Estimated magnitude of work is between 1,000,000 and 5,000,000. Invitation for Bid will be opened on or about 17 December 1996 at 2:00 p.m. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about 15 November 1996, at a cost of $11.00 for solicitation documents.
