C -- ARCHITECT-ENGINEERING SERVICES, BASIC ORDERING AGREEMENT(S) FOR MISCELLANEOUS CIVIL/STRUCTURAL, MECHANICAL, AND ELECTRICAL PROJECTS AT PPPL DUE 110696 POC Sharon Warkala, Sr. Subcontract Administrator, 609-243-2691, FAX 609-243-2021 Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is seeking qualified firms to enter into Basic Ordering Agreements to provide Architect-Engineering (A-E) services for various facility improvement projects at PPPL during a two year term. Projects will require multidisciplinary capabilities including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, energy conservation, fire protection, and civil/structural support. It is contemplated that BOA(s) will be awarded to one or more firms to cover all disciplines required. A-E services to be provided will include surveys/studies, conceptual design, and Title I, II, and III work. Anticipated projects may include, but are not limited to, the following: (A) Mechanical Engineering including HVAC, refrigeration, heating, pipe design, utilities, controls, energy conservation; (B) Electrical Engineering including power distribution below 600 volts, lighting, utilities, controls, energy conservation; (C) Civil Engineering including structural and concrete design, foundations, surveying, site preparation, and related utility services. The term of the BOA(s) will be for two years from the date of award. Firms that meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit a letter of interest and a completed Standard Form 254. Submission of office brochures or other documents is encouraged only to the extent that these documents graphically substantiate the work specifically described on the Standard Form 254. Selection of firms for negotiation shall be through an order of preference based on demonstrated competence and qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of the type of professional services required, that include: (1) Professional capabilities; (2) specialized experience and technical competence, as required; (3) capacity of the firm to perform the work (including any specialized services) according to established schedules; (4) past performance on contracts with respect to cost control, quality of work, and compliance with schedules; (5) geographical location in relation to the PPPL facility and knowledge of the locality where work is to be performed; (6) proposed organizational structure, including technical disciplines, which would handle projects under the PPPL BOA.
