AFCEA International, an association headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia,
that has served communications, electronics, intelligence, and
information systems professionals for over 50 years, joins forces with
the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Mine and Undersea Warfare)
and the Office of Naval Intelligence to present a classified (SECRET)
conference on Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) at the National Maritime
Intelligence Center in Suitland, Maryland. ``Battlespace Management for
the ASW Team,'' is a conference designed by the Navy for the Navy and
for industry. GOVERNMENT, MILITARY, INDUSTRY... If you want to hear the
Navy's top leadership discuss where the Navy is headed organizationally
and operationally in ASW and what they view as the challenges and
business opportunities in ASW...this is the conference. For two days,
the Navy's top leadership from intelligence, plans, and operations will
focus on key ASW-related issues, including: The worldwide submarine
challenges facing the U.S. How the Navy is organizing itself for ASW.
The C4I impediments to effective fusion of all-source intelligence and
real-time multi-sensor and multi-platform tactical data. New
technologies/innovations in the acquisition pipeline. How commercial
off-the-shelf (COTS) technology can solve C4I problems. What industry
can do to help. IN ADDITION, 30 COMPANIES WILL EXHIBIT THE LATEST IN
ASW-RELATED TECHNOLOGY. The conference will consist of five sessions.
The first will address the ASW threat and how it is changing. In
session two, each warfare community will present its approach to ASW
and thoughts on future planning requirements. Systems developers will
present examples of developing technologies and ASW tactical decision
aids. The third session will showcase newly developing or planned
sensors, combat systems, and communication technologies and will
concentrate on the integration of diverse information within the Navy
C4I of the future. Navy labs/Systems Developers will present new and
cutting edge technologies for use in ASW tactical employment. Session
four will highlight the requirements and tools to provide C4I data
fusion to the Battlespace Commander. The final session will focus on
shortfalls in current ASW philosophy, organization, and capabilities;
new initiatives; and objectives for the future. CONFIRMED SPEAKERS

Exhibitors must be US citizens, but do not have to have a security
