The Postal Service wishes to procure 307 portable container tilters to be used in mail processing facilities. These are commercially available units with certain salient features required for Postal Service use. The on board rechargeable battery shall energize a direct current motor and hydraulic pump combination which shall provide power for all container tilting. H-28''min to 36'' max; W-30'' min to 40'' max; L- 53'' min to 63.5'' max; between forks- 11.5'' to 14''; tilt angle- 0 to 85 degrees. The forklift platform shall lift 2000 lbs at end of fork without buckling or having permanent deformation. The unit shall have a push handle, floorlock, 2 phenolic wheels mounted on the baseframe with 360 degrees swivel, and 2 fixed phenolic wheels mounted on the forkframe.
