Specialist, (703) 814-4910. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI),
has a requirement for the procurement, installation, and maintenance
of a telephone system for the FBI Field Division in Louisville,
Kentucky. The FBI requires a Private Branch Exchange (PBX) system with
ancillary equipment, software, Battery Reserve Power System, Station
Message Detail Recording System and Voice Messaging System. In
addition, this requirement also includes technological enhancements,
service improvements, and all new and/or emerging telecommunication
offerings. Equipment and software shall be of the latest design and in
current production, have previously been successfully installed and
operated, be commercially available as an off-the-shelf item, be fully
tested or demonstrated in the commercial or government marketplace.
The procurement will be issued as a best value approach with technical,
past performance and price being evaluated. The FBI anticipates a ten
year contract (base year with nine (9) one-year options. The Standard
Industrialized Code (SIC) is 4813 (1,500 employees). The estimated
deadline for receipt of proposals is on or about December 6, 1996.
