61 -- TRANSFORMERS - THREE-PHASE FOA COOLED GSU TRANSFORMERS SOL DACW21-97-B-0007 DUE 121896 POC Kathleen Achord, Contract Specialist, (912) 652-5169 or Alice N. Hicks, Contracting Officer. Proposed procurement of two (2) 190,000 kVA, 230 kV, three-phase FOA cooled GSU transformers, spare parts, and the services of one or two Erecting Engineers. The transformers will replace six existing single-phase FOW cooled transformers. The transformers shall be three-phase, two-winding, oil-immersed type suitable for outdoor operation. The transformers shall be forced oil-cooled type with forced air-cooler (Class FOA), and shall be of a design which has an established record of satisfactory operation with the type of oil preservation system specified. It is estimated that the solicitation will be issued on 18 November 1996. This is a Civil Works Program procurement and is not funded by the Department of Defense. Only written requests for the plans and specifications will be accepted. Required bid package can be obtained from the Savannah District. (0295)
