Federal Prison Industries intends to enter into a five (5) Year
Service Type Contract for the Dormitory and Quarters Furniture Project
(Whole Room Project) to include the following: coordination of
delivery, unpacking, assembly and placement of the product to conform
with the room configuration, removal of all packing materials and final
cleaning and inspection of the product. The contractor will negotiate
installation with UNICOR on a project by project basis. The contractor
must be capable of supplying the ancillary items for the room packages
and demonstrate the ability to stage the deliveries and coordinate the
installation of the room packages. The contractor shall provide the
following ancillary items: Carpet, Draperies, Mini- blinds, Bedspreads,
Wall Artwork, Silk Plants, Lighting, Appliances and Optional seating.
The contractor shall demonstrate the ability to stage all of the UNICOR
and contractor provided products required for the room packages and
make deliveries of complete projects or incrementally as the customer
requires. The contractor shall have the ability to provide warehousing
if necessitated by a customer initiated delay of delivery caused by
construction delays or other unforeseen complications. Period of
Performance is date of award through five (5) years thereafter.
Delivery acceptance is 90 days after receipt of each delivery order. No
telephone request will be honored. Request for solicitation shall be
submitted on company letterhead citing business size. Request for
