Dale, Contracting Officer, (619) 939-9656. The Naval Air Warfare Center China Lake, CA intends to contract competitively for fabrication of hardware for weapons systems and related products. The contractor shall provide labor, equipment, material and facilities to accomplish the required manufacturing and fabrication tasks as required by individual delivery orders.The contractor shall perform the machining at the NAWCWPNS China Lake Machine Shop using Government-owned equipment specified in the Request for Proposal. Specific tasks may require fabrication of a complex unit comprised of a number of individual components and subassemblies produced to close tolerances. Description of hardware to be manufactured may range from an experimental or developmental nature with only hand sketches available thruough documented and approved-for-production drawing packages. Typical tasks included may be Turning, Milling, Sheet metal, Welding, and inspection. The contractor will also perform Computer Numerical Controlled Machining operations, assembly, and related processes including but not limited to Plating, Heat Treating and Grinding and other manufacturing tasks as may be required. The contractor will be required to supply certified materials, certification reports and other information as required by each task. A 5 year period of performance is anticipated.
