The work to be performed under this project shall consist of the construction of a new male dormitory building (40,890 gross square foot) and the demolition of existing building no. 28 (24,120 gross square foot). The new construction includes building and site utilities in the project area, installation of site drainage, site grading, site lighting and landscaping. Plans and specifications will be available on November 6, 1996, ONLY from the office of Architect/Engineer, Beck Associates Architects, 2200 Classen Boulevard, Suite 1450, Citizens Tower, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73106. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications will be answered on a first-come, first serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Request must be in writing and a $100 refundable bid-deposit is required. This bid-deposit must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order, made payable to the U.S. Department of Labor, and submited to the A/E firm at the time of request. Upon receipt of undamaged plans and specifications, properly returned to A/E, the bid-deposit ($100) shall be returned to bidder. A Pre-bid walk-through is scheduled November 20, 1996, at 2:00 p.m., local time. Bid opening date is December 17, 1996, at 2:00 p.m., local time. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside acquisition.
