Z -- PAINT EXISTING RUNWAY CENTERLINES FOR TRAPNELL AIRFIELD, PATUXENT RIVER, MARYLAND SOL N62477-97-M-3001 DUE 111296 POC Contract Specialist, Michael Kangas 301-342-3854 ext 514 The purpose of this contract is to provide and secure all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and superintendence for the painting of the existing runway centerlines, simulated carrier deck markings, pendant markings, Tachical Aircraft and Navigation (TACAN) check point, hold position lines, and taxiway centerlines for Trapnell Airfield, Patuxent River, Md. The work shall include water blasting to remove existing rubber and paint from the runway and taxi-way surfaces, pavement painting, and other incidental related work. The acquisition method will be by the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Under this method the established dates/times are related. Due to the seasonal period and cold weather restrictions for painting, performance of work will be required to start by 18 November 1996. The contract will be awarded to the lowest cost, responsible bidder. A responsibility determination will be made. The estimated cost range is $25,000 - $100,000. Do not call for additional technical information. Plans and specifications will become available on or about 7 November 1996.
