Britt, Phone (703)604-0757 Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a contract for approximately six (6) Penguin MK2 MOD7 all-upround telemetry missiles with options for: 1) extended modes software, and retrofits thereof for approximately ninety-six (96) Penguin MK2 MOD7 tactical missiles and; 2) surface launch telemetry missile hardware. This requirement includes the procurement of all related equipment and services and retrofit software installation. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Kongsberg Gruppen AS, P.O. Box 1003, N-3601, Kongsberg, Norway. Kongsberg Gruppen AS is the sole developer, designer and manufacturer of the Penguin missile and the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, facilities and experience to perform this effort within the required timeframe.
