SUBMISSION OF OFFERS: Although this synopsis references Note 22 in accordance with FAR 5.207(d)(3), this notice will serve as a combined synopsis/solicitation to be issued to the sole source identified above. Any offers received shall be evaluated to determine if alternate sources exist. If alternate sources are identified, competitive proposals will be requested at a later date. Otherwise, the government intends to negotiate with Carl Zeiss, Inc. and award a contract as a result of this synopsis/solicitation. If an interested party believes they can meet the above specifications, they must submit proposal on letterhead stationary and must show the following: Solicitation number, time specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposal, name, address, telephone number, fax number, a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements of the solicitation. Offers are to include product literature, or other documents if necessary; terms of any express warranty; user maintenance and services manuals and wiring schematics upon delivery, and any discount terms; a ''REMIT TO'' address, if different than the mailing address; the offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 120 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers, offerors not agreeing with the 120 day acceptance will be rejected.
