The Richland Operations Office (RL) intends to award a fixed unit price purchase order for the services of an independent team of recognized experts in the fields of Nuclear Facility Operations, Safety, and Environmental and Waste Management to perform an in-depth review of the key issues raised by the General Accounting Office (GAO) as discussed in their report GAO/RCED-96-119R, Tank Safety Compliance and Tank Waste Remediation System's Corrective Action Programs. The proposed action is within the simplified acquisition threshold, and four sources have been identified to provide quotations. This proposed purchase order will be set-aside for small business and will be negotiated using simplified acquisition procedures. This is neither a request for proposal nor a request for quotation.
