MAIL ACCESS (CINEMA) ACQUISITION SOL TQC-SG-97-0001. DUE 120996. POC

Services Administration (GSA) intends to issue a solicitation for
commercially available Electronic Commerce (EC), Electronic Mail
(E-mail), and Internet Access services provided to Federal
Telecommunications Service (FTS) users nationwide. Services are to be
provided in the United States according, but not limited, to the
following specifications, standards, and requirements: X.400 E-mail;
SMTP E-mail and Internet Access conforming to the specifications of the
Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF); and Electronic Commerce with
transactions conforming to X.12. For purposes of this acquisition the
United States is defined as the 48 contiguous states, plus Alaska and
Hawaii. Use of the resulting contracts will be at the discretion of
customer agencies, not mandatory. The contract will consist of a two
year base period with three one year options, and will feature direct
service ordering by customers. To be placed on the bidders mailing
list, please transmit a request to the attention of the Contract
Specialist, Solicitation TQC-SG-97-0001, to: General Services
Administration, c/o Mitretek Systems, Inc., 7525 Colshire Drive (STOP
Z397), McLean, Virginia 22102-7400. Requests also may be transmitted
via facsimile to (703) 610-2810. Requests should include: the
solicitation number, company name, point of contact name, address,
telephone number, fax number, and Internet E-mail address. GSA will
release the Solicitation on or about 15 calendar days after Commerce
Business Daily publication of this synopsis. Upon release, electronic
copies of the Solicitation, in Microsoft Word 6.0 format, will be
available on the Internet World Wide Web at the following address:
http://post.fts2k.gsa.gov/cinema. Additionally, GSA will distribute
electronic copies of the Solicitation, in the same software format, on
3.5-inch PC format diskettes, to all parties on the bidders mailing
list. Only one diskette will be sent to any one address. GSA will not
