The Alaska Area Native Health Service intends to procure the services of a professional moving company with extensive experience in relocation of Hospitals and/or Medical Centers. The new Alaska Native Medical Center, currently under construction, is anticipated to be fully operational by June 2, 1997. At 150 beds and 345,000 square feet, the new medical center will be approximately twice the size of the existing facility. The solicitation will also include relocation's to three additional buildings located on the same campus. Work to be performed by the perspective contractor consists of furnishing all personnel, rolling stock, equipment, tools, shoring materials, packing supplies, tarps, communication equipment and appropriate permits necessary to relocate the Alaska Native Medical Center, the Alaska Area Office Building, Primary Care Center and Center for Disease from their old facilities to their new facilities. The acquisition is set-aside for American Indian/Alaska Native owned firms under the authority of the Buy Indian Act. Firms must be at least 51% American Indian/Alaska Native owned and controlled.
