55 -- NOTICE OF THE RELEASE OF A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NO. SP0500-96-I-0001 Point of Contact Mr. Leonard Gregory DISC-DP007. This is a notice that the Defense Industrial Supply Center (DISC) intends to release a Request For Information to suppliers of Wood & Related Materials, Millwork, and Plywood & Veneer, FSCs 5510, 5520, & 5530 respectively. The solicitation is for a Prime Vendor to cover various customer requirements in the Mid-Atlantic Region and Europe. The Prime Vendor to cover various customer requirements in the Mid-Atlantic Region and Europe. The Prime Vendor concept entails a partnering between the supplier and the government through the employment of commercial practices, and a one-on-one relationship between the supplier and the various activities it will be supporting. Based on the information gathered from industry DISC will either hold a presolicitation conference or issue a formal RFP.
