J -- MAINTENANCE, CALIBRATION FOR PRECISION MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT LABORATORIES Contact: Debra A. Luckeydoo, Contracting Officer, at 614-788-5042. The Air Force Metrology and Calibration (AFMETCAL) Program currently has approximately 750 unique parts numbers that are returned to the original equipment manufacturer for calibration. These unique part numbers encompass equipment types from various measurement disciplines (mechanical, physical, electronics, photonics, and nucleonics) and account for approximately 2000 calibration actions annually. Currently, each individual Air Force Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), approximately 130, or Item Manager must arrange to have these items calibrated. In an effort to streamline this process, the AFMETCAL Program desires to centralize this effort through a single contract to receive items due calibration, calibrate or arrange for calibration of the item, and return the calibrated items. The Air Force anticipates a requirements contract with fixed price and time and material provisions with full and open competition. Please submit written notification of interest responses within 15 days of publication of this notice to AFMETCAL Detachment 1/MK, 813 Irving-Wick Dr W Ste 4M, Heath OH 43056-6116, Attn: Debbie Luckeydoo Contracting Officer. The Air Force does not intend to contract based on this request and will not pay for information requested. Release or distribution of responses will be approved by the Contracting Officer.
