Freeman (216) 838-6091 The VAMC Brecksville, OH intends to negotiate sole source with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF) Department of Pastoral Care of Cleveland, Ohio, for services of a Chaplain Resident to provide pastoral care services. Contractors services include but are not limited to supervision and education to Chaplain Resident through its Pastoral Education Program, recruiting of seminary students in pastoral care and counseling who may be interested in a VA Hospital chaplainship. Unique characteristics of the CCF include but are not limited to, 1) contractors proximity to the VAMC Cleveland which allows education and group sessions to occur in space at the CCF and undertake care at the VAMC Cleveland under mentor ship of a staff chaplain; 2) provides a program which is certified by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, which gives students credentialing required to be hospital chaplains; 3) provides a continuing beneficial relationship with the VA which has provided a number of years of pastoral service at both locations; and 4) a wide variety of clinical educators and resource personnel at CCF provide a full range of education exposure for the students to enhance our own diverse setting for learning. Interest offerors may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a capability statement which must contain adequate information and qualifications to provide this service. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within 45 calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
