Z -- PARTIAL REMOVAL OF OLD RUNWAY 5L-23R NAVID FACILITIES AT INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA SOL DTFA14-97-R-33862 POC Vicki Vickers, Contracting Officer, AGL-72A. The Federal Aviation Administration, Great Lakes Region, has a requirement for partial removal of old Runway 5L and 23R Navaid Facilities at Indianapolis International Airport, Indianapolis, Indiana. The required work consists of, but is not limited to, removal of an outer marker facility and its appurtenances, removal of glide slope and localizer underground gasoline and diesel oil storage tanks, removal of surficial stained soil, removal of an underground waste oil sump tank, removal of old pad-mounted transformers, and removal and storage of ALSF-2 equipment, including lampholders. The Contractor shall exercise extreme caution in moving the ALSF-2 equipment which will be re-installed on the Rockford Runway 7 ALSF-2 in Rockford, Illinois. The estimated procurment value is between $25,000 and $100,000. The period of performance is 60 calendar days. The FAA will send a qualified vendor application to those contractors who are interested in qualifying as a vendor on this and other similar projects. The application will be utilized in determining the firms most qualified to perform on this project and subsequently receive a Request for Offer. Contract award will be to the contractor offering the best value to the FAA. If you have successfully completed a Navaid Facilities project or similarly related maintenance, repair, or alteration project in the last 5 years, please respond to this CBD notice by November 1, 1996.
