A -- DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING OF NOVEL FORMULATIONS OF PVP-I/N-9 COPRECIPITATES AS POSSIBLE VAGINAL CONTRACEPTIVES WITH ANTI-HIV PROPERTIES POC Contact Mr. Robert Stallings, Contract Specialist, (301) 496-4611 The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development is planning to negotiate a two month extension of contract NO1-HD-3-3184 with the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. The contract is for the Development and Testing of Novel Formulations of PVP-I/N-9 coprecipitates as possible vaginal contraceptives with and-HIV properties. The determination to use other than full and open competition is in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1) as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. Inherent duplication of cost to the government, unacceptable delays in completing the project, and the need to finish ongoing animal testing make competition unfeasible for the completion of the current workscope. See note22.(0298)
