The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire non-personal telephone operation and maintenance services in support of a digital electronic telephone exchange at Naval Air Station, Keflavik, Iceland. The proposed procurement will be for a base period of nine (9) months with three (3) additional one (1) year options. The base period of performance will be from 01 Jan 1997 through 30 Sep 1997. This effort will be covered by a new contract. This period represents the Government's minimum needs. The solicitation will contain specifications for telephone operation and maintenance services. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Iceland Post and Telegraph Administration (P&T) of Reykjavik, Iceland, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Post and Telegraph Administration is the only supplier of these services at this time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interests and technical capability to respond to this requirement. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Number is 8744. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia. The Government will not pay for information received.
