Description of content: To tighten regulations on noise from the following vehicles: Large-sized bus with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 3.5 tons and a maximum engine output exceeding 150 KW; passenger motor vehicle with a riding capacity of six persons or less; mini-sized two-wheeled motor vehicle with engine displacement exceeding 0.125 1. and less than 0.25 1.; first-class motor-driven cycle with engine displacement no more than 0.05 1. 7. Objective and rationale: To reduce motor vehicle noise in big city areas and along main roads. 8. Relevant documents: The basic law is Road Vehicles Act. These revisions will appear in ``KAMPO'' (Official Government Gazette) when adopted. 9. Proposed date of adoption: December 1996 at earliest.
