COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF OCTOBER 28,1996 PSA#1709SLOVAK REPUBLIC: DIESEL OIL The following notification is being
circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.96.369. 1.

applicable): Diesel oil. 5. Title, number of pages and language(s) of
the notified document: STN EN 590 Automotive Fuels. Diesel.
Requirements and Methods of Tests (1 page, National Amendment in Slovak
language). 6. Description of content: Proposed national standard is
identical with EN 590:1993; however the national amendment states
stricter requirements based on the request of the Slovak Ministry of
Economy and the Slovak Ministry of Environment, respectively. The
national maximum limit for the sulphur content in diesel oil is 0.05
per cent. 7. Objective and rationale: (a) Protection of environment;
(b) proposed limit value is in accordance with the requirement of the
93/12/EEC Directive. 8. Relevant documents: (a) EN 590:1993; 93/12/EEC
Directive; (b) STN EN 590 substitutes hitherto valid standard STN 65
6506 in its whole extent; (c) adoption announcement will be published
in Vestnik UNMS SR (Official Journal). 9. Proposed date of adoption:
Proposed date of entry into force: 1 January 1997. 10. Final date for
