The U.S. Customs Service (Customs) proposes to award a contract to perform in accordance with the SOW dated 10/11/96 the required types of personnel security investigations, on Customs applicants, employees, and contract employees on a nationwide basis. Investigation coverage will include all 50 States, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. The types of personnel security investigations to be conducted are: Modified Background Investigations, Post Modified Background Investigations, Background Investigations, Single Scope Background Investigations, Upgraded Background Investigations, Updated Background Investigations, Periodic Re-investigations and Periodic Re-investigation for Single Scope Background Investigations. Contract period DOA through 30 Sept. 1997 with 4 option years. All employees assigned to work on this contract must be a U.S. Citizen and furnish proof of a favorable, current (within 5 years) background investigation conducted IAW E.O. 10450. Response time to the RFP will be 45 calendar days from the issuance of the RFP. Only written requests for a copy of the RFP will be accepted.
