Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform drydock
repairs including, but not limited to, the following Minimum Items: 1)
Prepare and Prime Weather Deck Surfaces. 2) Overhaul, Renew and Test
Valves. 3) Hydroblast Sewage and Grey Water System Piping. 4) Overhaul
Stabilizing Fins. 5) Fabricate and Install Bronze Sleeve in Various
Shaft Packing Areas. 6) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller
Shafts. 7) Remove and Reinstall Rudders. 8) Clean and Inspect Tanks. 9)
Renew: Starboard Engine Room Hull Plating/Starboard Aft Fuel Tank
(Bulkhead 28) Plating/Water Lubricated Propeller Shaft Bearings/Lower
Fin Stock Bearing. 10) Provide Temporary Messing/Berthing/Temporary
Logistics/Routine Drydocking. Indefinite Items include: 1) Welding
Repairs. 2) Repair Propeller Shaft. 3) Repair Propeller Root Erosion.
4) Preserve Underwater Body. 5) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water
Collection and Holding Tanks. 6) Preserve Potable Water Tank(s).
Vessel's homeport is Miami Beach, FL. Vessel length is 110 Foot ``A''
Class Patrol Boat. Vessel availability schedule is 10 Feb 1997 for 42
days. The place of performance for this vessel is not geographically
restricted. There will be a nonrefundable charge of $100.00 required in
the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast
Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA.
The proposed contract listed here is a part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 13 Nov 96. All responsible sources may submit a bid
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For

Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
