Provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials and supplies, to furnish and install 84 plants, as well as maintain and care for newly installed plants and all existing plant material identified within the specifications and sketches of the solicitation on a regularly scheduled basis. Maintenance of plants shall be provided within four (4) buildings located at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. The contractor shall be a specialty contractor of established reputation in the field of interior landscape construction and maintenance and who is regularly engaged in and specializes in the performance of the type of work required by the resultant contract. The resultant contract shall be for a period of 12 months commencing on or about 4/1/96 and shall include four successive 12-month option periods. A pre-bid site visit is planned for approximately 2 weeks after the solicitation is issued. The solicitation will identify the specific date, time, and location. This requirement is a small business set-aside. To enable firms to determine their size as required for this requirement and for purposes of completing offeror Representations and Certifications, the small business size standard is a concern, including its affiliates, having average annual sales or receipts for its past three fiscal years not in excess fo $0.5 million.
