Y -- MAINTENANCE DREDGING, DUWAMISH WATERWAY, SEATTLE WASHINGTON SOL DACW67-97-B-0008 DUE 010297 POC Contract Specialist Leslie J Lovata (206) 764-6865 (Site Code DACA67) The Seattle District, Corps of Engineers has a requirement for clamshell dredging of approximately 100,000 cubic yards of shoaled material from the Duwamish River Channel at Seattle Harbor, Washington with disposal at the Washington State Department of Natural Resources' Open Water Disposal Site in Elliott Bay by bottom-dump barge. The Elliott Bay Open Water Disposal area is located at Latitude 47 degrees, 35 minutes, 57.55 seconds and Longitude 122 degrees, 21 minutes, 27.26 seconds (NAD 83). An estimated 20,000 cubic yards of sand from the upper turning basin may be used to cap contaminated sediment approximately 2,000 feet southwest of the Elliott Bay Open Water Disposal Site. Plans and specs available on or about 3 December 1996 at no charge per set. No individual sheets are available. Documents will be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted.
