Lancaster Rd., Dallas, TX 75216 intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Coulter Corporation, 590 Commerce Parkway, Suite 112, Marietta, GA 30060 for acquisition of two Coulter MD II Series Hematology Analyzers with automatic probewipe and microdiff II w/16 parameters, including 3-part differential, all standards, solutions, tubing for analyzers, installation, and start up kits, including reagents and consumables, and a one year warranty. A Government-owned Sysmex K-1000 analyzer will be traded in under this purchase. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accorance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Requests for Proposals are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 549-16-97. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 42. This will be a firm fixed price contract, FOB Destination. Standard industrial code is 5047, small business size standard is 500 employees.
