The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a need to acquire LEXIS/NEXIS Data services for Fiscal Year (FY) 1997, by placing a delivery order against the Library of Congress/FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement--The FBI intends to renew the subscription with LEXIS/NEXIS for the continued services which contain an extensive array of databases with nearly 60 million documents and offers a full range of legal, legislative, regulatory, company, financial, medical, news and current affairs information--The LEXIS service includes access to case law, administrative decisions, statutes, regulations, law reviews, specialty publications and more--A comprehensive set of specialized libraries that cover more than 30 areas of Federal and State practice--In addition, the service houses international law libraries for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of France--libraries and publications in the NEXIS service are global in scope and cover a variety of topics including business, government, finance, politics, technology, and general news. Three libraries are dedicated to federal and state legislation, and to federal executive and campaign materials--Full-text and abstracted medical information are housed in MEDIS--The Financial Information Service includes company and financial information on public and private corporations throughout the world--Destination: Within the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia including Hawaii, Alaska and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico--Any interested party capable of meeting the FBI's requirement should submit evidence of capability within 30 calendar days of this notice--GSA or other schedule information, and associated information to permit a full and complete evaluation--All responsible sources will be considered--No solicitation document will be issued--Oral communications are not acceptable and will not be honored--The award is contingent upon the available funds of Fiscal Year 1997.
