D -- PREMISE-BASED SWITCHING AND EXCHANGE SERVICES FOR THE U.S. GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION WITHIN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF DENVER, CO POC Kay E. Steck, Contracting Officer, 303-236-9234. This is a market survey synopsis for prospective vendors to provide local telephone exchange services, long distance commercial access, access to the Federal Government long distance network (FTS2000), and inter-system connection. Automatic number identification (ANI) to the FTS2000 network is required, as well as call trace on internal and external calls. The primary service requirement is local access trunking, transport channel services and related functions within the Denver Federal Center for Federal users located in the Federally-owned buildings. Currently there are 40 locations served in hub/satellite Private Branch Exchange (PBX) configuration utilizing a GTE 4600E, Northern Telecom Meridian Option 71 and a NEC NEAX2400 IMS. The Federal community, on the Federal Center, served by the PBX's utilize exchange (303) 236 and 202 provided by U.S. West. The vendor shall provide number portability for the current exchange DID Numbers. Requirements for new numbers shall be within the existing NXX until exhausted. The vendor shall have the capability to acquire additional DID station numbers. Access to the local exchange shall include emergency 911 services and functions, access to directory number information, e.g., NPA-555-1212 or 411, and access to operator services. The current quantity of T-1 trunks serving the hub switch for access to both FTS2000 networks is seven (7); six (6) to FTS network A (AT&T) and one (1) to B (Sprint). Trunking connections for 4 wire E&M type 1, digital (1.544Mbps) to provide E&M, local exchange and/or ground start is required. Each satellite PBX location is connected to the HUB switch by way of digital T-1's and fiber. Access to the local exchange network, the commercial long distance network, and the FTS2000 network from the satellite locations is facilitated through the Hub switching location. The satellite facilities are located at the following addresses: Building 50, 1700 lines, and Building 810, with 800 lines. The hub switch is located in Building 50, with approximately 5,000 lines. If service is not immediately available, all replies should indicate when it will be available. Replies should also indicate whether number portability is available, and if not, when will it be available. See Note 22. This is not a format solicitation. However, concerns that respond should furnish detailed data concerning their capability to meet the Government's requirement.
