The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, intends to negotiate with and award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Term type contract to Litton/Sperry Marine, Inc., of Charlottesville, VA. In support of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) periscope mounted Automatic Direction Finding (CNO-ADF) equipment, the contractor shall install, modify, repair and refurbish Type 18 CNO-ADF equipment. The contractor shall also provide training of Navy personnel after installation of the equipment. Sperry is t he designer and manufacturer of the CNO-ADF equipment, and is therefore considered the only responsible source. The period of performance of the basic contract will be from date of award to 30 September 1997. There will also be three (3) options covering FY98, FY99, and FY00. See Note 22. (0302)
