16 -- TITANIUM NITRIDE EROSION COATING FOR TURBO SHAFT ENGINE COMPRESSOR POC Contact, Randall Cohen, Phone (703)604-2000 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a firm fixed price contract with MDS Aero Support Corporation, 7810 Henri-Bourassi West, St Laurent, Quebec, Canada for the procurement of supplies and services to study the applicability and cost benefit analysis of coating Naval Aviation turboshaft engine compressor with a multi layer titanium nitride erosion resistant coating process. This effort will be performed as part of a foreign comparative test program. The Multi Layer Titanium Nitride Erosion Resisting Coating process was developed by, and is proprietary to, the Ural Works of Civil Aviation (PRAD), Ekaterinburg, Russia.
