Capers Jr., Contracting Officer (619)552-4348 The VA Medical Center, San Diego, California requires Architect/Engineering services for Project #892CM3015 at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. The scope of work will include, site investigation, preliminary drawing, working drawing specifications, a master project schedule, phasing plan, landscape design and cost estimate for columbarium at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. This project is to provide additional columbarium units that will join the existing columbarium walls on the ocean side of the cemetery. The general scope of work will include the following: Removal, cleaning, grading and grubbing of the site along the property line. Installation of French drains, concrete sidewalks and handicapped ramps, reinforced concrete foundation footing, precast, pre- engineered concrete columbarium units with concrete caps, Irrigation lines along with the roadside landscaping and zone valves. A/E selection criteria will include: (1) The professional capacity of the A/E firm to accomplish the project; (2) The professional qualification of the firm's staff to be assigned to accomplish the project: (3) Past experience, if any, of the firm with respect to performance on similar VA/Government contracts; (4) Present workload of a firm as it relates to the capability of the firm to accomplish this project in a timely manner; (5) The location of the firm in relation to the VA Medical Center - San Diego (maximum of 120 miles form San Diego); (6) The ability to complete drawings in electronic format for use on the VA's Accugraph Mountain Top software, which is compatible with Autocad Version 12 .dxf format; and The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 dollars.
