Redding, Contracting Officer, 301/713-0839 The U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with the University of Wisconsin, Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) to extend its software license to the Man Computer Interactive Display and Analysis System (McIDAS) for the period 01/01/97 through 12/31/97. The National Environmental, Satellite, Data and Information Service, Satellite Services Division is currently operating in a McIDAS environment. Participation with the MUG allows the Government to obtain the following support services: 1) Obtain ongoing research results, new software and techniques developed by SSEC and others; 2) Receive maintenance and updates to McIDAS-MVS, -OS2, -X, -XCD, -XSD, or -OCD software and documentation; 3) Receive assistance with site-specific McIDAS problems. All responsible sources may submit a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirement, to the above address. To be considered an affirmative response, offerors must provide sufficient information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirements.
