Q -- ELECTROCONVULSIVE THERAPY (ECT) TREATMENTS SOL RFQ #646-1-97 DUE 120296 POC Linda White, Contracting Officer (412) 365-5436 The contractor shall provide electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) services at the contractor's facility for the period of one year from date of award. There are options for two (2) one-year renewals. Estimated quantity is twenty (20) ECT treatments per year. Pricing shall include history, interview and examination professional fee, ECT treatment professional fee, hospital facility charge and anesthesia(including CRNA time and physician professional fee). The contractor must be fully accredited by JCAHO. Physicians performing the ECTs must be board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and must practice primarily in either Psychiatry or Neurology. All Nurse Anesthetists performing work under this contract must have CRNA certifications and must work under the supervision of a physician. The contractor's facility must be located within a twenty (20) mile radius of the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. The contractor must have an ECT system with state-of-the-art equipment (either Thymatron DG or SRI MECTA or equivalent) and appropriate support devices including a defibrillator, oxygen machine with O2 monitoring capabilities, and blood pressure monitor. Offerors must respond to a written Request for Quotations. Award will be made to the responsive responsible offeror submitting the lowest total price for the base year plus two option years whose offer is in conformance with the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Award is anticipated 7-14 calendar days after receipt of quotations.
