The work consists of rerouting the existing 230 kV double-circuit David-Panama transmission line between towers 28 and 31 to provide a new location to cross the Panama Canal. Solicitation documents will be available on or about November 25, 1996. Each request must be accompanied by a company or bank check, made out to Treasurer, Panama Canal Commission, for $50.00 U.S. for each set of specifications and the associated drawings. The estimated price range is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Evaluation/Award criteria will be contained in the solicitation. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to the Government, technical, price, and other factors considered. (0303)
